Public Safety
Most elected officials will tell you that nothing we do is more important than ensuring the public safety of our town. Who cares if there are plenty of parks if it’s not safe to go there, if the police don’t come when called, if the fire department response time is too long or our kids aren’t safe in the streets? I have worked every year since 2009 as a City Council Member to fully staff our police force and maintain the great fire service we enjoy. Through the ‘Great Recession,’ we never laid off an officer or fire personnel, and are now up to full police staffing.
As the next Mayor, I will ensure Redondo Beach continues to prioritize our outstanding pubic safety record.
